Eric LeGrand is a former Division I football player who sustained a spinal cord injury (SCI). In 2013, Eric launched Team LeGrand, a fundraising arm of the Christopher & Dana Reeve Foundation. I am supporting Team LeGrand because the moment I discovered that LeGrand was opening a business, it personally inspired me to stop talking and start DOING. For me, that was finishing my Beach Santa book.
As an independent author, I knew it would be important to tie Beach Santa to something bigger than itself. My humble hope is to share the Beach Santa story, promote children’s literacy, advocate for disability inclusion in children’s books, encourage writers of all ages, AND make a significant contribution to the SCI community.
